As students enroll in Rock School, they are divided into musical groups, and program selection begins. The program for each upcoming concert is thematic in nature, often reflecting the music of a broad category in music history; for example, a recent concert showcased the music of the 1980’s. As each group rehearses for the upcoming event, the students are guided through the process of learning musical, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Rock school offers this training and experience through alternative means that are developed to teach and enrich students in a musical environment. By giving the students hand-on learning experiences with instantaneous results, the students is shown a way of learning that is radically different from their traditional school education. Rock School can address both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds within its structure.

Rock School provides private instrumental instruction for the student who desires individualized learning. These private lessons are geared not only to the Rock School concert repertoire, but also to a well-rounded musical education.
